Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 9: A veteran political figure, an Ex-M. P. & Chief Patron movement for Peace & Territorial Integrity of J&K, Mr. Sheikh Ab. Rehman, in a press handout issued here has said that the manner in which all the constitutional institutions in the country which are of paramount importance to run the Govt. under Parliamentry system of democracy are being weakened or destroyed during last 8 years in a most dictatorial way, be it judiciary, executive or Parliament, all these factors signify Presidential Form of Govt. in times to come. He further said that for the first time in India polity, Supreme Court Judges were on the road apprehending great danger to Indian Democracy and democratic institutions under the present dispensation, the country witnessed most unpopular decisions like demonetization, Three Kissan Laws, imposition of most ruthless GST on household items, toppling of State Govts. run by Opposition Parties, mishandling of COVID-19 in the country giving a death blow to our age old tradition of consensus, scrapping Article 370 & 35-A in a most unlawful & unconstitutional way and then announcing most unpopular JUMLA BAZI beating the chest from roof tops about magical developments and end of terrorism from the valley and then lowering the status of A Class state of J&K to a mere U.T. being run by proxy from New Delhi with false & deceitful promises, inflicting excesses on minorities, spreading hatred etc. all these factors are testimony to the fact that we are fast moving towards Presidential form of Govt.
