Adhocism galore as authorities failed to appoint new Direct Health Services Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: Five days have passed after the superannuation of Director Health Services Jammu but higher-ups in the administration failed to appoint a new director despite the fact that the Union Territory is witnessing a spike in COVID cases. On March 31, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman Director Health Services Jammu attained superannuation. As per tradition and keeping in view the importance of the department earlier it was routine to appoint a new director a week before the retirement of the incumbent director but this time appointment has not been made even after the retirement of the director. Failure of the higher-ups to appoint the Director Health Service even after passing five days reflects the casual approach. Interestingly authorities have neither appointed new Director Health Services nor given charge of Director Health Services to any officers. Actually adhocism galore in the Health Department for the last year as the superannuated officer, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman was looking after the charge of Director Health Services. He was actually appointed as Director General Family Welfare. After the retirement of Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, neither new Director General of Family Welfare nor Director Health Services have been appointed. Sources said that many doctors are trying for both posts so higher-ups in the administration have failed to take any decision in this regard. |
