| CEA member visits Subansiri Lower Project | | |

NEW DELHI, Apr 8: Member (Hydro), Central Electricity Authority, Government of India, Ministry of Power M.A.K.P. Singh alongwith Chief Engineer (HPM), CEA Manoj Tripathi inspecting NHPC's 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HE Project (Assam/ Arunachal Pradesh)
Member (Hydro), Central Electricity Authority, Government of India, Ministry of Power M.A.K.P. Singh alongwith Chief Engineer (HPM), CEA Shri Manoj Tripathi visited NHPC's 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HE Project (Assam/ Arunachal Pradesh) on 07.04.2023 to review the ongoing construction activities at different sites of the Project.
CEA officials expressed satisfaction on the steps being taken by NHPC at the Diversion Tunnel Inlet area as well as guard wall at Power House. Damages in these areas are due to prolongation of project and scouring below the structures which are constructed for temporary purpose.
CEA officials also took a review meeting on the Project wherein Vipin Gupta, Executive Director, SLHEP, briefed about the various steps taken to address the challenges in the Project. Addressing the NHPC Officials and representatives of contractors of major works in the meeting, Member (Hydro), CEA and CE (HPM), CEA expressed their satisfaction with the progress of work despite distress during Covid 19. All major contractors and NHPC officials resolved to work with maximum zeal to complete the Project as per schedule. |
