Ambedkar's role crucial in ameliorating life of downtrodden: Kavinder

JAMMU, Apr 13: The work done by the architect of Constitution of India Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar in drafting the Constitution of India is phenomenal and the much needed respite which he gave to the downtrodden and oppressed society at that time is truly matchless. Baba Saheb has left an indelible mark by setting a benchmark by creating the law book for the country which is flawless and formed the basis of India becoming a Republic.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta after washing and cleaning the statue of Dr B R Ambedkar on the eve of his birth anniversary at Dr B.R Ambedkar Chowk in Jammu. Neelam Langeh, President BJP SC Morcha J&K and former MLA, Garu Ram Ex President BJP SC Morcha J&K and former MLA and Rekha Mahajan District President South BJP also accompanied the former Deputy Chief Minister.
Kavinder Gupta applauded the Central Government headed by PM Modi for declaring a public holiday on 14th April to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr B.R Ambedkar. He said that BJP under the stewardship of PM Narendra Modi is committed to work for the upliftment of the oppressed and suppressed sections of the society as it firmly believes in the slogan Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.
Today programme was organised by Umesh Kumar, District President. Among those who were present include Jeet Angral, Vinay Gupta, Umesh Kumar, Sharda Kumari, Seema, Mohan Thapa, Manohar Lal Menia, Vivek Pattal and Subhash Chander.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta along with senior BJP leaders carried out a cleanliness drive in front of Railway Station Jammu as a part of ongoing 'Samajik Nyay Pakhwada'. Corporators Lucky Puri and Ajay Gupta, Karuna Khetri, Pushpinder Singh, Vishal Gupta, Kapil Khurana, Rajinder Koul and Nitin Thapa participated in the cleanliness drive.
Kavinder said that the front portion of Railway Station will be developed while adequate sitting arrangements will be made for the visitors so that they may not face any inconvenience. He informed that a total of 10 platforms will be established in coming time and for this Central government is providing adequate funds for the development of Railway Station Jammu.
The senior BJP leader asked the people to extend whole hearted support to BJP as more the party will get strengthened more the country will tread towards peace and progress. He said that the work done by PM Modi in the country especially in J&K is outstanding as what has been promised was delivered with no aberrations at all.
