Kashmir man cries ‘Babu-Pvt school nexus’, seeks Raj Bhawan intervention | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 13: In a shocking development, a man has made shocking allegations of favoritism against some private schools in Kashmir seeking the intervention of the Raj Bhawan. The man in question man has shared his video with “A big #Explosive story of a #high ranking #official of Directorate of School Education Kashmir with evidence. Story will reveal the Nexus.” The man said some of the private schools in Kashmir were enjoying impunity to violation of norms and that no action was being taken against them despite numerous complaints filed with the concerned officials. He said even though numerous formal complaints along with evidence were filed before the concerned officials, no action was taken even despite passing of three years. The complaint has gone viral on the social media at time when the government has said strict action will be taken against private schools which defy norms with regard to directives issued by the school education department. Seeking intervention of Raj Bhawan, the man said the “Office of LG, J&K Manoj Sinha Sahib should hold a private school parents public Durbar in JAMMU AND SRINAGAR and listen first to what private schools have done to parents in past 3 years.” It has been repeated complaint especially from parents that some influential private schools in Kashmir were being allegedly pampered by the “babus for their reasons best known to them.” While some private schools are accused of charging additional fee in violation of norms such institutions are also accused of “minting money by asking parents to buy stationary and uniforms from particular shops at allegedly exorbitant prices.” Parents have been frequently complaining about lack of action against “erring private schools”. Despite repeated attempts the concerned officials were not available for comments. But a source said the matter would be looked into.
