Yuva Rajput Sabha pays floral tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh on death anniversary

JAMMU, Apr 26: Members of the Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS)-J&K paid floral tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh ji on His 62nd death Anniversary today on Wednesday to commemorate his contributions to the J&K State and Nation under the leadership of Rajan Singh Happy, President YRS. Core committee of YRS & State Body of YRS were accompanied by many dignitaries of the society prominent among those were Shamsher Singh, Ex- MP Rajya Sabha, M K Ajaatshatru Singh (Grandson of Maharaja Hari Singh ji, Raman Bhalla, Ex-Cabinet Minister, R S Chib Ex-Cabinet Minister, Arun Gupta, President Chamber of Commerce, Advocate M K Bhardwaj, Ex-President, Bar Association Jammu, Sandhya Gupta and Zorawar Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajan Singh Happy said that His Highness Maharaja Hari Singh ji was the last ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, who played a pivotal role in India's struggle for independence. He was a visionary leader who worked tirelessly for the development of his state and its people who made primary education compulsory i9n the state, introduced laws prohibiting child marriage and opened worship places to lower castes. His contributions to the state & nation are immense, and his legacy continues to inspire generations.
The Yuva Rajput Sabha, a youth organization that works for the promotion and preservation of Dogra culture, organized the event. The members of the organization gathered at the Maharaja's statue at Hari Singh Park at Banks of Holy River Tawi in the heart of the city and paid their respects by offering flowers.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajinder Singh, Chief Patron of the Yuva Rajput Sabha, said, "We are proud to pay our respects to the great leader who played an instrumental role in shaping the destiny of our nation. Maharaja Hari Singh ji was not only a visionary leader but also a great human being who worked tirelessly for the welfare of his people."
Raghubir Singh, Chairman YRS, said that "Through this event, we want to pay tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji's legacy and inspire the youth to follow his footsteps. We must never forget his contributions to the society and ensure that his memory lives on forever."
The event was a fitting tribute to His Highness Maharaja Hari Singh ji, who will always be remembered as a visionary leader, a great patriot, and a true son of India. His contributions to the society will continue to inspire generations to come.
The event was attended by members of the Rajput community, as well as dignitaries from various walks of life.
