Shahrukh Khan’s ‘magic’ works for Pulwama villagers | Potholes which remained unattended for longtime, filled in 24-hours | | Early Times Report
Pulwama, Apr 26: Arrival of Bollywood super star, Shahrukh Khan in Kashmir to shoot for his film Dhunki has activated the administration. Ahead of Khan’s visit to Dogripura village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the administration has filled the potholes and covered the cow dung with the tarpaulin. Residents while talking to Early Times said, “Shahrukh Khan’s Kashmir visit has proven beneficial for us. The pot holes that have been filled on roads were troubling us for a long time.” They said, “Our repeated pleas to get the roads in our area repaired were not adhered to, but Shahrukh Khan’s likely visit to our village has led to our long pending demand getting fulfilled.” “It’s strange that when a common man approaches the officials with his genuine grievances it takes years for them to even address issues but when any VIP is scheduled to visit a particular area the issues are addressed within 24-hours. Till yesterday the road leading to our village was filled with potholes. Within one night all these potholes have been filled. Shahrukh Khan’s magic has worked,” residents added. |
