JAMMU, May 22: A naka party from PP Sidhra, during routine checking at Naka Point Tawi Bridge Sidhra, intercepted a Verna vehicle with registration number JK02BC 9825. The driver of the car attempted to flee upon seeing the police party but was swiftly chased and apprehended by the naka party. The driver, identified as Murtaza Ali, son of Sikander Ali and resident of Ganga Nagar Bantalab, Jammu, was taken into custody.
During a subsequent personal search, the police recovered approximately 6 grams of a substance resembling Heroin from the possession of the accused. The accused was arrested, and a case registered against him under FIR No. 239/2023 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at PS Nagrota. The investigation into the matter is currently underway. |
