Jammu, May 22: The Special Judge handling POCSO cases, Sudhir Khajuria, has issued a notice to the Incharge of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and SHO Bagh E Bahu, along with the minor girl, in the bail plea of J&K Police Sub Inspector Sardar Ali and property dealer Muzaffar. The case pertains to the alleged abduction and recovery of a minor girl from a five-star hotel in Jammu. The bail plea, filed by the accused through their advocates A.K. Sawhney, Aseem Kumar Sawhney, Tahseena Bukhari, and Sarafaz Ahmed, argues that the accused are innocent and have been falsely implicated. It highlights that Sardar Ali, being a Police SI and married to a DDC Member, comes from a respectable family background. The other accused, a young man of 27 years, has also been wrongfully implicated in the fabricated case. Advocate Aseem Sawhney argues in the petition that the girl voluntarily came to the hotel to meet her friend, Muzaffar, and that SI Sardar Ali was present there as a close friend to counsel and advise them against making any hasty life decisions. The counsel asserts that there was no abduction or POCSO-related crime involved. The accused SI advised the girl to involve her family if she and her friend had any intentions of marriage. Advocate Sawhney further states that evidence from the file and CCTV footage will reveal that the minor girl arrived at the hotel willingly, without any coercion or force. It will demonstrate that the conversations between the individuals were mere discussions, and the SI’s role was to counsel and caution them due to the girl’s minor status for a few more months. The narrative being projected in the media is incorrect and factually inaccurate, aiming only to defame these young men. |
