Jammu, June 11: NSS unit II Govt. Gandhi Memorial Science College organized a ten day summer camp with the theme MISSION LIFE under the patronage of worthy Principal Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta and guidance of NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan under the aegis of G 20 from 1 st Juneto 10 th June. The camp mainly focused on pledge of mission life, extension lectures, quiz, documentary screening, Sustainable development goals, adopting eco friendly life styles, seed sowing in plastic bottles, Plantation, say no to use of single use plastic awareness, Cycle for India, blood plasma donation awareness, Nature walk, Yuva India, not me but You, visit to blind school, donation, skill reasearch development, visit to CSIR IIIM, yoga, meditation, Har Ghar Dhyan workshop by AOL, nukad natak beat the plastic pollution, world environment day, world bicycle day rally, compost formation in college campus by dried leaves and community awareness say yes to cloth bags and promoting yuva tourism. The Principal and staff appreciated the efforts of NSS in arranging different outreach programmes. The youth can only bring the change and own the responsibility to change the society. The Nature Walk was organized to make the students realize nothing can be more important than nurturing and protecting our mother Earth. NSS PO emphasized that there’s a positive link between contact with nature and increased happiness, subjective well-being, and positive social interactions. There’s also evidence that walking in nature may decrease mental distress and increase your sense of purpose and meaning, helping create a more positive outlook on life. |
