Kejriwal unable to get support from Kashmir politicians | Na Ghar Ka Na Ghat Ka! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: The Delhi chief minister and the Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and has been unable to bag support from Kashmir politicians over the ordinance passed by the Lieutenant Governor of the national capital. While the National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has openly taken dig at Kejriwal, the sources said the Peoples Democratic Party was equally unwilling to give him any support. The Peoples Conference and Apni Party, on the other hand, are also unlikely to go against the Bharatiya Janta Party decisions about Delhi. Omar Abdullah has hit out at Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal’s efforts to secure support from non-BJP parties to counter the Centre’s ordinance on control of Delhi’s officers. In a dig at Kejriwal “allegedly rooting for the ruling BJP’s2019 move to scrap Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir”, Abdullah questioned the irony of the Delhi CM seeking support from other parties now. “Where was Arvind Kejriwal when Article 370 was scrapped? He supported the government that time and today he is asking for support from other parties,” he asked. Sources said there was no chance of Peoples Conference led by Sajad Lone extending any support to the Kejriwal government. “Peoples Conference won’t go against the policies of BJP in the national capital and this is quite obvious,” said a political analyst. The sources said the Apni Party led by Altaf Bukhari would also not get benefitted by supporting Kejriwal. “Actually AAP is seemingly like Aadha Idhar and Aadha Udhar, so political parties in Kashmir will avoid supporting them as you don’t know how he (Kejriwal) will react next,” said a political analyst on the condition of anonymity. As per the analysts following corruption allegations, the AAP has been unable to make any “substantial inroads into Jammu and Kashmir.” |
