2 former-PDP ministers mulling “Gharwapsi”
6/29/2023 11:04:28 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 29: Two senior politicians of Jammu and Kashmir who were ministers in the previous PDP-BJP government are thinking over Gharwapsi in their former party.
The politicians had started their political careers in the Peoples Democratic Party under the leadership of the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. They were politically groomed and matured under the able guidance of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed but after the demise of the PDP founder and collapse of the PDP-BJP government, they deserted their party.
In the year 2015 when PDP entered into an alliance with the BJP and a coalition regime under the leadership of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was formed both these leaders were inducted as cabinet ministers from the quota of PDP.
After the demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, when the PDP restitched its alliance with BJP and the coalition government under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti was formed both of them were again reinducted into the council of ministers.
Highly placed sources both the former ministers have already opened channels of communication with some senior leaders of the PDP to ensure their smooth Gharwapsi.
As reported earlier, most of the politicians who enjoyed ministerial posts during the PDP-Congress and PDP-BJP regimes left the party after the demise of the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed followed by the collapse of the PDP-BJP government in June 2018.
Except for Abdul Rehman Veeri, Nayeem Akthar, and Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjoora, all other ministers deserted the PDP during a crucial time and joined different political parties.
