Srinagar, July 15: The Economic Offences Wing, Srinagar, of Crime Branch Kashmir on Saturday produced a chargesheet against a Kupwara resident who had "secured" a government job on the basis of a fake education qualification certificate. The charge report of the case was filed before Sub Judge Trehgam Kupwara against Qaisar-ud-Din Bajard, a resident of Zirhama, Marhama, and Kupwara, for his involvement in the commission of offences punishable under sections 420 (cheating), 468 (fraud), and 471 (forgery) of the Ranbir Penal Code of the Police Station Economic Offences Wing, Srinagar. A spokesman of the Crime Branch said Crime Branch Kashmir's EWS, Srinagar, received a complaint alleging that one Bajard had managed to secure a Government job as a junior lineman in Electric Maintenance Division Kupwara on the basis of fake and forged certificates and documents. Accordingly, an instant case was registered in P/S EOW, Srinagar, in 2022, and an investigation started. During the investigation, it has been established that the accused, Qaisar-ud-Din Bajard, availed himself of all the benefits of a Government employee after having been appointed on the basis of fake and forged certificates of 8th Class. The aforesaid acts on the part of the accused individual have established cheating, fraud, and forgery (offences punishable under 420, 468, and 471 RPC)," the spokesman said. The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against said accused individual, and the charge-report of the instant case has been produced before the court for judicial examination. |
