Early Times Report

Jammu, July 15: The anti-graft agencies in Jammu and Kashmir have stepped up their efforts to crack down on corrupt within the system.
The stringent actions of these agencies have resulted in curbing the corruption to a great extent. Their efforts have earned praise and instilled a renewed sense of hope among the public.
An observer while talking to Early Times said, “Over the years, corruption has plagued Jammu and Kashmir, hindering the progress and development of the state. However, recent efforts by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other key institutions have marked a turning point, as they work tirelessly to uproot the deep-rooted corruption present within the region.”
“Moreover, the agencies have also targeted a number of big fishes who were found to be involved in acts of corruption, embezzlement, and abuse of power. These actions have sent a strong message that nobody is above the law, no matter their status or position of influence,” he added.
“Another noteworthy achievement of the anti-graft agencies in J&K is the crackdown on financial irregularities. Rigorous investigations and intelligence-gathering operations have enabled the agencies to expose these corrupt practices, leading to the arrest of several individuals involved in the embezzlement networks,” the observer said.
Pertinently, the actions of the agencies have been widely applauded by the public, who had been disillusioned by the rampant corruption that had plagued the erstwhile state for far too long. “J&K’s transition into a Union Territory has led to the increased focus on transparency and accountability. It has instilled confidence among the citizens, encouraging them to report any suspicious activities and file complaints against corrupt individuals,” said an analyst.
“Collective efforts are being put to eradicate corruption. People and the government have joined hands to rid Jammu and Kashmir of corruption and restore the faith of the people in the system. Steps are being taken to wipe out corruption at all levels and ensure that corruption doesn't go unpunished,” he said, adding, “The success in nabbing high-profile offenders has been praised as a testament to the effectiveness of these agencies and their unwavering dedication to the cause.”
