Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 27: Government Polytechnic College Jammu successfully concluded a six-day "Basic Computer Skills" training program today, aimed at enhancing the skills of employees from the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) in Katra. The training initiative, which commenced on November 20th, was orchestrated under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, the Principal of the college. At the valedictory function held on the concluding day, Er. Arun Bangotra distributed training certificates to the SMVDSB employees, acknowledging their dedication and participation. During the event, he interacted with the trainees and commended Er. Sanjay Kaul, HOD Computer Engineering, and his team for their efforts in organizing skill-enhancing programs for the employees of SMVDSB. The training, conducted by Ved Paul Instructor, provided hands-on experience in various applications and software, along with tips and tricks for Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The participants expressed their gratitude to the college administration for the excellent training received, emphasizing its impact on enriching their knowledge. A visit was organized on the concluding day to the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) in Jammu, offering the SMVDSB employees a firsthand experience of the latest technologies. The event was attended by Er. Sanjay Koul (HoD Computer Engg.), Er. Rani Devi (HoD Information Technology), Er. Heena Gupta, Er. Sunil Bhatti, Er. Kanav Gupta, Er. Nisha Bharti, Er. Asmat Nisar, Sh. Ved Pal, and other staff members of the college. The employees of SMVDSB expressed their appreciation for the valuable training received, highlighting the role of such initiatives in fostering continuous learning and development within the organization.
