War against terrorism not over yet: DGP Swain | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 27: Jammu & Kashmir Director General of Police R R Swain on Monday said ‘’the war against terrorism will continue even if they have to suffer some losses at times’’. The Police Chief was talking to reporters after paying obeisance at the Gurudwara Chatti Padshahi in Srinagar on Gurpurab, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. “The war (against terrorism) has not ended completely . It ends when one side accepts defeat and acknowledges that bloodshed will not yield anything . So till that time our fight against terrorism will continue despite facing some losses at times,” the DGP said. He said there was no question of retreating from the war against terrorists abd added the forces were trying to reduce the harm to the people. “At least what we can do is to reduce the harm to the people . And the fighting force will make an effort to reduce this loss . If moving ahead while facing losses is a challenge, we will not retreat,” Swain said. |
