Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan celebrates Ram Lala Pran Pratishtha Samaroh in Janipur

JAMMU, Jan 22: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) marked the auspicious occasion of Ram Lala Pran Pratishtha Samaroh with a grand Bhajan Sandhya at Janipur, Jammu. The event aimed not only to celebrate the sacred ceremony but also to promote the rich traditional culture of Jammu and Kashmir.
The program, presented in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production, witnessed a gathering of over 2000 pilgrims from various parts of the country. Chief guest Yash Pal Sharma, Jammu Municipal Councilor ward no 35, inaugurated the event, while V.K. Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, and Mukesh Singh, Media Person - Newspaper "The Shadow," were honored as guests of honour.
The cultural extravaganza showcased traditional folk culture from Jammu province, with performances centered around themes like "Ram Ayaege," "Siya Ram Bajoo," "Raja Ram Bajo Re- Mann Tulsa," and "Ram Naam Satya Hai." The artists presented soulful renditions of bhajans and cultural items, captivating the audience.
In addition to the live performance, LCD screens were set up to broadcast the live telecast of Pran Pratishtha, and glimpses of the Ram Chitt Manas Katha were shared with the audience.
Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of BLSKS, emphasized the significance of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, highlighting its role in marking the sanctification of the idol of Ram Lalla. He explained that the ceremony breathes life into the deity, transforming the inert idol into a living embodiment of the divine.
The program also included a Vishal Bhandara organized by the Committee members of ward no 35 & 36. Singers, musicians, and actors, including Usha Raina, K.K. Joshi, Rajni Gupta, M.C. Kotwal, Chahat Chadha, Bindia Okheda, Rahul Kumar, and others, enthralled the audience with their performances.
M.C. Kotwal, General Secretary of BLSKS, welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the aims and objectives of the program, focusing on the Sansthan's role in the betterment of society through various publicity and entertainment initiatives.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Deepak Kumar, the program coordinator, expressing gratitude for the successful conduct of the program.
