Samba, Jan 22: Police on Monday arrested one narco-smuggler with 18-kg poppy straw in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police said that a police party of Police Post Mansar while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted a gas tanker coming from Srinagar side.
During checking of the vehicle, 18 Kgs of poppy straw was recovered and the accused driver namely Mohd Fazal Bhat of Dharsakri, of Rajouri district was arrested. A case under relevant sections has been registered and investigations started. |
