Early Times Report RAMBAN, Mar 6: On the directions of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar-IPS, Ramban police acting on specific information about the transportation of bovine animals, various police teams from P/S Batote and Ramsoo intercepted four vehicles and individuals transporting bovines from Jammu to Srinagar. Upon inspection, it was discovered that 107 bovine animals were loaded in the 04 vehicles, and subjected to cruelty without provisions for food and water. This transportation violated permissions from the Competent Authority. As a result, a total of 107 bovine animals were rescued under the operation "KAMDHENU." Subsequently, three FIRs were registered in PS Batote, 01 FIR in PS Ramsoo under Sections 188 IPC, and under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. An investigation has been initiated into these cases. The successful rescue operation was conducted by police parties led by SHO Batote, and SHO Ramsoo, under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ramban, SDPO Banihal, Addl.SP Ramban with overall supervision by SSP Ramban. |
