Jammu, Mar 6: Director General of Accounts and Treasuries on Wednesday placed three employees under suspension for alleged mishandling of the official funds. An official order by the DG Treasuries reads: “In terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956, pending enquiry into their conduct following officials of Sub Treasury Dharmari, Reasi are placed under suspension with the immediate effect.” Officials placed under suspension are: Ajeet Kumar, Assistant Treasury Officer (AAO), Balbir Singh, Accounts Assistant and Ali Hussain Shah, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The order said that during the period of suspension, the aforementioned individuals shall remain attached to the Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu. “In the interim, the Assistant Treasury Officer at Sub Treasury Arnas is directed to assume the charge of ATO at Sub Treasury Dharmari, Reasi, alongside their existing responsibilities, until further notice,” the order said. DG Accounts and Treasuries Finance Department, Mahesh Dass while talking to Early Times said, “Probe has been ordered and the accused employees have been placed under suspension.” He said that how much amount did the accused allegedly “misappropriate” is being looked into. |
