Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 24: A one-day awareness program on "Substance Abuse: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatments" was held at Government ITI College Udhampur under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan led by the District Administration under the guidance of DC Ms. Saloni Rai (IAS) and supervision of DSWO Ms. Kanika Gupta (JKAS). Organized by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Police Department and District Sports Office , the event aimed to educate youth on the dangers of drug abuse. Police officials explained legal consequences under the NDPS Act , while students engaged in a volleyball match, painting, and debate competition. Som Dev Khajuria led a pledge for a drug-free India, and Ms. Jyoti Pathania highlighted available government support for de-addiction. Winners were felicitated, and certificates and hand bags were distributed. The program was well-received, marking a strong step towards building a drug-free society. |
