Jammu, Mar 24: MLA Poonch, Ajaz Jan, on Monday strongly raised the pressing issues of Poonch Haveli and the Pir Panchal region in the Legislative Assembly.
He exposed the massive fraud and mismanagement in the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department, particularly in the AAY (Antyodaya Anna Yojana) and BPL (Below Poverty Line) lists.
In response to Ajaz Jan’s queries, the department shockingly admitted that they do not have updated lists for 2022 and 2024, including details of added and deleted members. Furthermore, officials failed to provide any clear answer regarding the current criteria being followed for inclusion and exclusion in these lists.
Following this revelation, the concerned minister assured MLA Ajaz Jan that strict action will be taken against all those responsible for these irregularities.
Ajaz Jan reiterated his commitment to fighting for the rights of the people of Poonch and Pir Panchal, ensuring transparency and accountability in governance. |
