3/24/2025 11:31:47 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Mar 24: Security forces busted a militant hideout in a forest area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Police said on Monday.
They said the hideout was busted by a joint team of Special Operations Group (SOG) Anantnag, Army’s 19 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), and CRPF in the higher reaches of Sanglan forest , under the jurisdiction of Police Station Uttersoo .
“Based on specific intelligence inputs, security forces conducted a thorough search operation in the dense forest area, leading to the discovery of the hideout. Preliminary investigations suggest that it was being used as a logistical base by terrorists,” police said.
The items recovered included 200 empty AK cartridges, two gas cylinders, one Chinese grenade, a night vision device (NVD), bedding, utensils and food packets
“The recovery of these materials highlighted the hideout’s role in supporting terrorist activities,” police said.
Police said that this operation underscored the relentless efforts of the Anantnag Police and security agencies in countering militancy and ensuring the safety of the region.
Police also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement agencies to contribute to ongoing efforts in maintaining peace and security.
