Early Times Report

New Delhi, Dec 15: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the symbol of national unity and the architect of a strong and integrated India, on his death anniversary.
In a post shared on the social media platform ‘X’, Shah recalled the unparalleled contribution of Sardar Patel in unifying a fragmented nation in the aftermath of Independence. He said that despite facing numerous adverse circumstances, the Iron Man of India successfully brought together hundreds of princely states, laying a strong and enduring foundation for a robust and united India.
Highlighting Sardar Patel’s role as independent India’s first Home Minister, Amit Shah said that national security, internal stability and the establishment of peace remained Patel’s lifelong mission. His decisive leadership, Shah noted, ensured the strengthening of the country’s administrative and security framework during the most challenging formative years.
The Union Home Minister also underlined Sardar Patel’s far-sighted vision in promoting the cooperative movement, which later emerged as a vital pillar of rural and economic development. He said that Sardar Patel laid the foundation of a self-reliant India by empowering farmers and women, and by encouraging collective participation in nation-building.
Describing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as a timeless source of inspiration, Shah said that his ideals of unity, discipline and national service continue to guide the nation like a guiding star. He added that Sardar Patel’s life and legacy remain a constant reminder to put the nation first and work tirelessly for its strength and progress.
