Jammu, Apr 29: Delhi Public School, Jammu continues to uphold its tradition of excellence as two of its bright young learners, Khushali Gupta (VI-G) and Anaysha Gupta (II-A), brought immense pride to the institution by securing the 1st Runner-up positions and trophies at the prestigious 16th J&K UCMAS Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition 2026.
The competition, a platform that celebrates speed, accuracy, and mental agility, was held on 19th April 2026 at GDCT, Jammu, with results announced on 26th April 2026. Competing among numerous talented participants, both students demonstrated exceptional numerical ability, sharp concentration, and remarkable confidence.
UCMAS (Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System), a globally acclaimed child development programme, is designed to enhance cognitive skills through abacus-based learning. Catering to children between 4–13 years of age, it fosters not only rapid calculation skills but also strengthens memory, focus, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.
The school management, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble President-RCT, Sh. M.K. Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Distinguished Pro Vice Chairperson, Kunwarani Dr. Ritu Singh Ji, and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S. Sodhi Ji, along with the Principal, Ms. Ruchi Chabra, and staff expressed immense pride in the achievers. They lauded the students for their dedication and perseverance and extended their heartfelt congratulations to their parents for their unwavering support.
