Baba Saheb's vision of social equality hold all times relevance: Sat Sharma

JAMMU, Apr 29: Jammu & Kashmir BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma CA emphasized that the vision of social equality and justice propounded by Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar continues to hold enduring relevance in modern India. He expressed these views while receiving a momento bearing the image of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar from BJP Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, who called on him at the party headquarters in the presence of party General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul.
Sat Sharma said that Baba Saheb devoted his entire life to uplifting the marginalized and ensuring dignity, equality, and constitutional rights for every citizen of the country. He added that Dr. Ambedkar's ideals transcend time and remain a guiding force for generations striving to build an inclusive and progressive society. He appreciated the thoughtful gesture and remarked that the memento would serve as a constant reminder of the immense contributions of the architect of the Indian Constitution.
Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organisation), on this occasion, said that Baba Saheb laid a strong foundation for a democratic India through the Constitution, which guarantees justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity to all citizens. He stressed that it is the collective responsibility of every individual to uphold these principles in both letter and spirit. Koul further added that the present leadership of the country is committed to realizing the vision of Dr. Ambedkar by ensuring that welfare schemes and opportunities reach the last person in society.
Balbir Ram Rattan, said that remembering Baba Saheb through such symbolic gestures strengthens the collective commitment towards his ideology. He said that the BJP has consistently worked for the empowerment of weaker sections and continues to undertake initiatives that reflect the vision and ideals of Dr. Ambedkar. He further emphasized that social harmony and equality remain at the core of the party's mission.
