Agriculture Department conducts seedling distribution drive among students

BILLAWAR, Apr 29: Under the directions and guidance of Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta, a plantation awareness and distribution programme was successfully conducted today, wherein more than 2,000 cucurbits seedlings were distributed among nearly 300 students of Government High School Danjasdhar, Government High School Sialna, and Government High School Uchapind.
The initiative was carried out with the active involvement of field functionaries, including AEA Pyt Danjasdhar Sanjeev Kumar, AEA Sialna Raman Sharma, AEA Uchapind Ravi Kumar and AEA Salore Rakesh Kumar, along with Social Worker Raj Kumar and Anil Gupta, Incharge Vegetable Nursery Uchapind. All the seedlings were raised at the Vegetable Nursery, Uchapind.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Gupta, Incharge Vegetable Nursery Uchapind, informed that the seedlings were distributed free of cost among the students. He emphasized that the primary objective of the initiative is to motivate the younger generation towards agriculture, encouraging them to develop interest, gain knowledge, and explore agriculture as a viable entrepreneurial opportunity in the future.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff, highlighting the importance of promoting agricultural awareness at the grassroots level.
