Early Times Report
KATRA, June 3: In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare facilities for patients, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has started the installation of Air Conditioners in the Ayushman Ward at Narayana Hospital, Katra. The development comes following the persistent efforts and continuous follow-up of senior BJP leader and MLA Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Constituency, Baldev Raj Sharma, who had consistently pursued the matter before the concerned authorities.
Baldev Raj Sharma met Sachin Kumar Vaishya (IAS), Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Katra, and reviewed the progress of several important public welfare and developmental projects being pursued for the benefit of the people of the constituency.
During the meeting, the CEO informed Baldev Raj Sharma that the Shrine Board has initiated the installation of Air Conditioners in the Ayushman Ward at Narayana Hospital, a demand that had been consistently pursued by the MLA in the interest of patients and their attendants. The MLA expressed satisfaction over the progress of the work and thanked the Shrine Board for addressing this important public welfare issue.
Apart from reviewing the Ayushman Ward project, Baldev Raj Sharma also raised the issue of the proposed shifting of helipad operations from Village Serli and submitted a comprehensive proposal seeking an alternative development plan for the area. He emphasized that while developmental initiatives are important, the interests and livelihood of the local residents must be fully protected and no adverse impact should be caused to the people of Village Serli.
The MLA also highlighted the long-pending demand of the residents of Panchayat Sersundwan and sought the construction of a Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple at Ward No. 5, Village Bladda, Panchayat Sersundwan. He stated that the proposed temple would fulfill the religious aspirations of the local population, promote spiritual activities in the area, and serve as an important centre of faith and devotion for devotees and residents alike.
