JAMMU, Aug 16: To review arrangements in connection with Shri Krishan Janam Ashatmi, which falls on August 25, a meeting of representatives of various Temples, managed by J&K Dharamarth Trust, was held under the chairmanship of its President B R Kundal here today.
Official spokesperson of J&K Dharmarth Trust said, "During the meeting it was decided that all the temples in Jammu Division will be tastefully decorated with balloons, buntings, flowers and lightings put in place for at least three days.
"On August 24, Rath Yatra will start from the historic and well revered temple of Sh Raghunath ji, he said, and added that about 18 organizations have expressed their desire to participate in the Rath Yatra with Tableaux depicting various stages of the life of Lord Krishna. "The Rath Yatra will pass through various bazaars which will be aptly decorated to the occasion, besides performing Aarti/ Pooja of the Rath Yatra at few places enrooted, he added.
Sanatan Dharam Sabha Jammu with which a separate meeting was held, informed that as per the past practice, it would coordinate the Rath Yatra on August 25. "A Bhajan Sandhya (devotional songs evening) shall be held in each temple while main function shall be held at historic Sh Raghunath ji Temple wherein renown singers will enthrall the devotees till midnight when in all the temples, Aarti for seeking blessings of Lord Krishna will be held'.
