Jammu, Sept 21: Hotel K C Residency today announced the launch of a twelve day Shahi Food Festival Royale Cuisines of India from today. According to spokesperson of Hotel, the buffet spread will feature authentic culinary delicacies prepared and presented by Chef Kaushal Sharma and his team of expert chefs. Chef Kaushal Sharma said, "Cooking for the Maharajahs was never easy. The Kitchens of royal India were nothing but lavish." He said, "During this twelve day long feast delicacies from the royal kitchens of Kashmir, Patiala, Rajasthan, Awadh,Mysore,Kolhapur and Hyderabad will be served in combinations." "In some palace kitchens, global cuisines were frequently experimented with local herbs!, he said adding, "we know that Emperor Ashok adhered to Buddhist vegetarian diet that was simple and lightly spiced while with arrival of Mughals, the Mughal cuisine interwove with the regional cuisines to bring forth new cuisines, new flavours that have stayed on as part of royal Indian heritage." Recalling from history, he said, "The Kings, Maharajas or the Nizams were invariably connoisseurs of good food while royal palaces maintained fine kitchens and employed the best cooks." Highlighting some of the famous dishes finding place in festival menu, he said, " some dishes which may force mouth to water include Tabakh Maas, Dahi Keema Samosa, Banjari Gosht, Machli Jaisamandi, Padampuri Murgh, Aab Gosht, Dhaniwal Korma, Mutton Kolhapuri, Chicken Kolhapuri, Awadhi Kormas and Niharis,Gatte Ki Subzi and Moong Dal Halwa.
