Jammu, Sept 21: Notwithstanding the fact that waters of Jammu and Kashmir has been the source of discrimination with the neighboring countries , the fact also goes that small rivulets and tributaries in the mountainous region of Jammu add to the greater curiosity among the onlookers as well as research mongers .
After ponds and small bowlies of the Jammu region, the escalating water sources in Jammu region are of supreme importance that often go unnoticed and hence get lost in oblivions without much ado .
No administrative as well as official interest diverts towards these flowing elixirs of life which, if preserved , embanked and maintained as little store houses at different points and intersections of the overflows can give the region an abundance of water bodies to be saved for the rough times .
Nearly 11 kilometers down from the national Highway at Ban at Jammu towards the Jindrah village is a midway point of Badsoo where the clear, fragrant and gushing water of Jhajjar flows vigorously to meet the river Tawi at its dead end before going into Pakistan.
The place, besides of scenic value as a great potential to be developed as water body which can serve the purpose of water storage at different points, cleansed and offered for the public utility. But for the government's nonchalance the elixir of life flows down without any advantage thus extending remorse to the natural lover, particularly the research holder on 'saving water'.
The particular place in mention, if developed can be another significant picnic spot after Jhajjaharkotli, which, in its present context is losing its valour due to development of new National Highway and the tourist can be diverted to this point, provided the government may take up the earnest cause .
