'We love Modi' graffiti spotted in Srinagar

Early Times Report
srinagar, Sept 21: A graffiti war has started in Srinagar to take on the separatists.
"We love Modi", "Save us from stone-pelters" are some of the graffiti which have been scribbled in many parts of Srinagar on the shutters of the shops, which are closed for more than two months.
The intelligience agency officials say it reflects that people are now fed-up with the consistent call of bandh and also realizing its futility.
"It's probably for the first that some people are openly contesting the separatists and that too in Srinagar, which always records the lowest pollingturnout. It's quite important and more socoming at a time when people were building the narrative that this unrest is a throw-back to the '90s, when even then the people had assumed that azadi was round the corner," said the official.
Sources said that some well read and intelligent youth, who though don't take to streets and are even now bit scared of the stone-pelters, have taken to the course.
These young people are getting anxious at each passing day as their careers are at the stake and losing one-year in such a competitive age means a lot, atleast to this young generation.,
Source said some businessmen are also showing signs of taking on separatists as they too have been hit hard and are being lablelled mukhbirs (informers) by the stone-pelters if they open their shops.
"It's a market of mukhbirs" reads the graffiti scribbled at at shutters at some shops in Srinagar, which officials believe could the turning point.
The people in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley have realized the futility of the un-ending cycle of the violence and it's for this reason that they are coming openly, but coming openly in the support of the Modi is some thing which was unheard before and coming too at at time when valley is witnessing Pak-sponsored agitational terrorism.
