Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 17: In absence of needed care of agriculture, irrigation, quality seeds supply and credible rural development, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti yesterday talked about developing milk villages & rural economy which can't be unjustified at all and more over such casual approach is quite pinching too. These views were expressed by non government organization People's Action & Public Accountability-PAPA. On the other hand state cooperative minister talked about bailing out the ailing banks which is also a unjustified move in absence of needed monitoring such banks, PAPA added. State rulers have badly failed in protecting the interests of farmers' community always with the result a total discouragement like situation is noticed almost everywhere, PAPA alleged. Unplanned unchecked urban development of recent past has created a hell like conditions including chocking of irrigation channels being left uncared by the so-called irrigation department, it added. Existing irrigation canals & lift irrigation schemes within the state are facing worst because of corruption based management of concerned govt. departments, it added further. Similarly, timely & quality supply of seeds to the farmers' community is also facing apathy of our defunct system and without unlimited corrections, Chief Minister Talks of developing the milk villages & rural economy which is totally a casual approach, PAPA alleged. Similarly on one hand almost all well monitored banks are on progressive side whereas state cooperative banks are always found on oxygen because of corrupt monitoring & mismanagement, PAPA alleged. Minister's talk of bailing package to ailing cooperative banks, certainly reflects his helplessness and in such case he must reveal the reasons behind such unjustified bail out package, it added. "We shall appeal the Chief Minister for a needed seriousness in order to put the systems on track otherwise disturbance facing state can suffer more worst", PAPA members urged. |
