11/17/2016 10:42:26 PM
Early Times Report
SWANI, Nov 17: In order to create awareness among the common masse regarding various welfare schemes, Social welfare department organised an awareness camp in village Sawni.
Speaking on the occasion District Social Welfare Officer Abdul Khabir narrated the detail of various welfare schemes being operated by department for common masses. He laid stress on the pensioners to submit their Aadhar cards immediately in order to avail the benefit of the pension at enhanced rates.
Pertinent to mention here that Government has enhanced pension under all categories at uniform rate of Rs. 1000/ per month but as per Govt order furnishing the Aadhar cards is mandatory for the same.
DSWO also sensitised the gathering on AASRA scheme and requested the people to come forward to reap the benefits of the scheme. Elaborating on the scheme he said that AASRA scheme has been launched after merging of the two schemes namely Pardhan Mantri Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pardhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
The premium to be paid for these two schemes is Rs. 330 and Rs. 12 respectively but those persons whose annual income is below Rs.75000 need not to pay any premium since Social Welfare deptt shall reimburse the same to them. All those persons whose annual income is below Rs.75000 can avail the benefits of the scheme.
The local people appreciated the efforts of the department beside appraising DSWO that many cases which are eligible for availing benefit under State Marriage Assistance Scheme are not figuring in the ICDS survey list hence their cases are not getting sanctioned.
