DySP desperate to get posted as SDPO rural
11/25/2016 11:36:50 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 25: A DySP, who is presently posted in an IRP Bn, is nowadays making desperate efforts to get posted as SDPO rural.
Though he himself is in regular touch with some senior police officers, he is also utilising the services of his nears and dears to make sure that he gets posted as SDPO in Jammu rural, according to police sources.
A few days back, his family members and relatives visited a BJP minister's private residence and requested him to get the DySP posted somewhere in Jammu district. The family, which is quite influential, lives in the assembly segment of the minister.
Sources said when the minister spoke to a senior police officer, the latter told him that it was not possible to post the DySP in Jammu as there was no vacancy anywhere in the district. However, the minister later specifically asked him to post the DySP in Jammu rural, the sources added, saying that the family had already made a request to the minister in this regard.
Any response from the senior police officer in this regard was, however, yet to come, sources said.
Before his transfer to IRP, the DySP was posted in Jammu district. Sources said the family wrongly told the minister that the DySP was doing very good work in Jammu at the time of his transfer. "The fact is that he was transferred on complaint basis. Even the SHOs working under him had complained to a senior officer that he forces them to do unlawful works," sources alleged.
"He also keeps on enquiring about the quality of police work in Jammu rural from different police personnel," sources claimed and said, keeping in view the minister's warm response to his family, he was sure to get posted in Jammu rural.
