MAM College celebrates Flag Day, Communal Harmony Week

Jammu, Nov 25: In pursuance of Communal Harmony campaign week from November 19th to 25th and Flag Day of the National foundation for Communal Harmony, a lecture was organized on the topic "National Integration and Communal Harmony" by the NCC and the NSS Wing of Govt. MAM College.
The last day of the Communal Harmony Campaign week was celebrated as Flag Day. The Flag Day spreads the massage of Communal Harmony and National Integration among the youth and the NSS Volunteers & NCC Cadets of the college collected the donations for the cause from worthy Principal, Professors, Students and the Society.
The resource person who deliberated on the topic was Dr.Virender Kundal and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Raj Shree Dhar, Nodal Officer, IMS (Jammu), Department of Economics University of Jammu. In his lecture Prof.Kundal said that Communal Harmony is intricately embedded in our blood despite the fact various separatist forces are trying their level best to divide us - THE INDIANs' on the basis of religion, language, caste, colour etc.
The welcome address was given by Prof. Savita Jamwal, Associated NCC Officer. She said that Communal Harmony is the essence of the moment and we should take care to maintain it.
On the occasion Principal of the College Dr. Romesh Chander said that it is high time for observance of National Integration as the country is passing through hard time because of tension at the Borders and youth of the country need to observe Communal Harmony to create peace inside the nation so that we can maintain National Integration inside the country.
Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Sangeeta Sudan, NSS Programme Officer. Others present on the occasion were Dr. Subash Chander, Dr. Anil Kumar Ganjoo, Prof. Narayan Dutt, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, Dr. Mohd Muzmmal Hussain, Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Prof. IA Khan, Dr. Laiquat Ali, Prof. Sujat Khan and Prof. Rakesh Sharma.
