Poonch, Nov 30 : Executive Engineer public health engineering department Poonch allegedly remain mostly absent from his office, resulting which the people of different areas of Poonch district especially Mandi, Surankote and Mendhar tehsils are suffering a lot.
According to the sources the people showed their resentment over the absentness of the said officer. Locals of surrounding areas of Mandi, Loran, Sawjian, Surankote, Bufliaz, Hari Marhote, Haribudha, Mendhar, Balakote and Mankote said, while they visit district office of the PHE department, they are informed over the absence of district officer of the said department.
Wali Mohammed, Khadam Hussain, Ghulam Rasool and many other informed Early Times that while they came from Loran, Bafliaz and Mendhar visited the office, got surprise over absence of officer from his office on Wednesday. Sources on their complaints while visiting and investigating the matter found that the officer remain absent from their duty about five days in a week. Locals in this regard said that in the border district of Poonch the people are deprived of drinking water and the officers remain absent from their duties, resulting the people are aggrieved and appealed to chief minister Mehbooba Mufti to investigate the matter and take strong action against the said officer. They demanded for his earlier transfer. Trying to official comments of the Executive Engineer Abdul Qyoom, didn't reply reporter's call. |
