DyCM's insensitive statement on Nagrota terror attack raises many eye-brows 11/30/2016 11:03:28 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 30: Controversial statement of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Kumar Singh at Doda in which he has described militant attack at Nagrota as "minor" incident has raised many eye-brows. The Deputy Chief Minister, who represents nationalist BJP in the government, is either ill-informed or he is himself not ready to get himself updated about day today developments of the situation in a state like Jammu and Kashmir. Deputy Chief Minister's casual statement on Nagrota terror attack has provided opportunity to the opponent groups to expose fake nationalism of BJP. "I can only describe it as " pathetic " ! How many more soldiers need to lose their lives for the Dy CM to show seriousness and concern ? What does our PM Modi has to say about it ? He came to power promising to teach Pakistan a lesson . He didn't tire of taking pot shot at UPA calling it weak", posted Nawang Rigzin Jora, leader of the Congress Legislature Party in the social media. Credible sources said that Deputy Chief Minister was informed about Nagrota attack in the morning but instead of keeping himself updated about the attack he remained disconnected. After reaching Doda, when it was confirmed that three soliders including two Majors have lost their lives in the attack, Deputy Chief Minister casually stated that it was a "minor" incident. As reported in a section of media, without getting an update about the encounter, he said, "As far as my information in concerned, only intermittent firing is going on at Nagrota where some militants have managed to sneak in. Only two Army personnel have received some injuries." The Deputy Chief Minister had given this statement at Doda this afternoon when it was almost confirmed that three soldiers have lost their lives in the encounter. It is not the first time that Dr Nirmal Singh has given such an "irresponsible" statement. Earlier he had termed killing of dreaded Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist as an "accident". Similarly Deputy CM had given a clear chit to the cops who had brutally beaten students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, for hoisting the National Flag on the campus.
