Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 2: A delegation of senior leaders of JKPCC Mula Ram, Raman Bhalla (former ministers) Vice Presidents and Shri Shah Mohd. Choudhary (Advocate)-General Secretary called on IGP Jammu Danesh Rana and discussed with him, the over all security scenario of J&K, in view of designs of Pakistan, especially the situation arisen after Nagrota fidayeen attack. The delegation asked the DGP to ensure foolproof security in Jammu City and its subverbs in order to avoid untoward incidents. Senior PCC leaders also apprised the DGP about the unprovoked and uncalled for action of Kana Chack Police, who resorted to lathi charge on Congress workers, when they were protesting against Govt. on various issues in a peaceful manner. That action was partil and intentally created by SHO Kana Chack to please the BJP leadership in the state. PCC leaders demanded thorough and impartial inquiry in the matter.
IGP gave patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that a thorough and impartial inquiry will be conducted and necessary action be taken in the matter.
