Mortal remains of Major Arvind Bazala consigned to flames in RS Pura

RS Pura, Dec 2: Amid slogans of 'Bharat mata ki jai', the mortal remains of Major Arvind Bazala who got killed in West Bengal Chopper Tragedy, were today consigned to flames at his native town R S Pura in Jammu district with full military honours
Army Major Arvind was got killed when a cheetah helicopter crashed at Sukna Military camp in West Bengal.
The shocked family members were inconsolable as the funeral pyre was lit. Earlier rich floral tributes were paid to the departed soul who was also accorded gun salutes
The border town wore a somber ambience while parents and other family members were in state of shock like the sky has fallen upon them after they heard the spine chilling news.
It was a distressful moment for all the family members including the parents, wife and a younger brother. Major Arvind Bazala son of TR Bhagat who is a LIC agent and Santosh Bhagat who is Assistant Manager in J&K Bank. His younger brother, Ankush Bazala is an engineer.
"After passing the 12th from Sainik school he decided to go for NDA as serving in Armed forces was Arvind's passion," said a close friend of Arvind told media persons while adding, "he joined National Defence Academy in 2005 as cadet and later passed out as Army lieutenant from IMA in 2009."
He recalled that Arvind got married to Aahana Bazala barely a year ago i.e. in November 2015 and Aahana used to stay with Arvind, it was she who informed about the sad demise of Arvind to the family members.
Neigbours and friends who were present at crematorium top pay last adieu to the brave heart too were short of words to express their views over the shocking news, but they can recollect Arvind a kind of person who always had a smile on his face. Many of them evoked that jovial person with a smile always on his face who also always stood first to help others.
Meanwhile shocked parents briefly have appealed the government to replace the old choppers with the new one so that no other family has to bear such big loss.
Arvind's friends Rahul, Himanshu and Vinesh recalling their friend said, the departed soul will always be missed by them. They also appealed the government to investigate the case properly.
Rahul told that he had talked to Arvind few days ago when he was going for his duty and told that he would talk later. "And it was shocking for me that he (Arvind) now he could never talk to him and I can't forget the incident which took away our friend, he added.
In West Bangal Chopper tragedy, two more officers Lieutenant Colonel Rajneesh Kumar and Major Sanjeev Luthra have lost their lives while a sapper Davie Yogesh got injured and is admitted in the hospital in a critical condition.
Meanwhile as per reports a Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered into the incident by the army authorities in this matter.
