Early Times Report

Poonch, Dec 2: Several launching pads activated along with LOC in Poonch on the other side of border. The terrorist outfits trying to push in as many trained terrorists. These launch pads have surfaced opposite all the six sectors in the border district i.e Balakote, Mendhar, Mankote, Krishna Ghati, Gulpur and Mandi. As per the sources at least five launching pads are active opposite every sector. A minimum of 300 terrorists are waiting for the chance to infiltrate this side of the border. If successful in sneaking into this side of border they can create havoc. For the last few weeks the movement on the other side of LOC close to the infiltration route has been increased. The locals from other side of LOC are helping the terrorist identifying the spots which could be soft targets for infiltrating. As the security has tightened along with LOC in Kashmir terrorist outfits have chosen this alternate route. As the terror groups are highly frustrated after the surgical strike and are consistently attacking Indian Forces to boost the morale of their cadre. The recent attacks in Nagrota and Chamliyal are the part of same strategy. As the terror groups are not getting enough support in the valley they are bound to import the terror from other side of the border. Indian troops are keeping a close eye on the situation though there is a need of maintaining high alert on LoC. All infiltration routes should be guarded well. The anti-Infiltration Grid has to strengthen up to discourage any attempt of intrusion could be avoided.
