| Gupta emphases to review security arrangements | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 2:Emphasizing for total review of the security arrangements, former Union Minister of State for Defence, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta said this has become all the more imperative in light of the growing incidents of Fidayeen attacks on the places of forces and increased bids of infiltration of heavily armed motivated ultras Moreso, by digging tunnels.
In a statement Prof. Gupta termed the fidayeen attack on the station of an army unit in the sensitive area of Nagrota, as a matter of grave nature which needed a deep look that how the heavily armed terrorists found their way to the place of their target as it could not be possible without big recee and local guides.
The reports about the move for handing over the investigations in the incident to NIA are a step in the right direction. And a similar case of terrorist attack in the most sensitive area of border town of Poonch on September 11th, should also be clubbed for probing, he stressed and said that in routine too, the situation demands constant review of the security scenario.
He said that the theocratic State of Pakistan had come into being under a design of the imperialists but it was a pity that the rulers of it have not learnt a lesson from the history and they still continue to survive on basis of enmity even after expiry of seven decades of bloodshed. |
