Where does Medical Education Minister stand in Congress, Govt? 1/24/2014 11:22:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 24: Has Minister for Medical Education and Youth Services and sports, lost all credibility both in the Congress party and government? Today when the Cabinet was scheduled to meet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, he reached the meeting hall around 4.30 pm only to find other Ministers waiting for the meeting. The Cabinet meeting was deferred when chief minister left the civil secretariat as the cabinet sub-committee on new administrative units failed to submit its report, and all Congress minister went into hurdle in deputy chief minister's chamber. He was the last Congress minister to enter DyCM's room and first to come out. Going by the facts on ground, it seems the minister has no role in the functioning of Congress party and his place is shrinking with every passing day. In January last year, the PHE portfolio was taken away and the minister was given medical education and YSS departments. Since then his position in the Congress party and his approach towards his own party minsters evoked severe criticism.
