JAMMU, Jan 24: A 27-year-old aspiring filmmaker from the Jammu City is working on a movie, plotted around the growing tendency of drug abuse and suicides among youth, besides child labor, which he believes reflects the true picture of the contemporary society. The 2:45-minute film ‘Tu Hi Hai Aashique’ is inspired by the growing perversions among the youth and it carries some social message and to some extent is associated with real life. Produced under the banner of Friday Cinema Film Productions, Arjun Rajput and Shanaya Singh- the directors of the film presumes that the movie will hold audience and exposes the audience to the fight within youth. “In this movie unlike other movies characters are taken from Jammu, Mumbai, Chandigarh and even from Bollywood,” Arjun said, adding that for this movie they also contacted theater artists of Jammu and maximum shoot has been done at Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Jammu. The film also speaks about serious consequences of the incomprehensible depression among the youth, which leads to drug addiction, suicides and other extreme perversions. “The interesting point in the film is that besides accentuating social issues, this movie also provides solution to those problems, which I think will keep audiences intact,” Director said, adding that this movie has five songs, including Sufi, rock, item and title song and all were shoot at Mumbai and Goa. “The music of the movie is likely to be recorded at AR Rehman music studio, for which signing amount has been already paid,” he said. The young man, a former student of JK Public School, Arjun has a working experience of more than five years in the bollywood city and has worked with Balaji films and Lakme as a professional photographer. "I always aspired to become a filmmaker since I watched movies at my house a few years ago," said Arjun, adding movies enthrall him. “I am sure that this movie will be a surprise package for the audience, as it never reflected that movie has been directed by first timers,” said Arjun, adding that they have put all basic necessities of entertainment, besides a strong story line. “The audience will get first look of Tu hi hai Ashique by next month, as we have planned to release teaser with the consent of our media partners, Zoom and 9X Tashan,” Arjun said. When asked about kind of challenges they faced while making this movie, the director said that they are still facing financial issues. “We approached many people in and outside the state, but received very cold response, due to which movie making is taking time, otherwise it would have screened across planned 100 theaters in the country,” he said and added that they are looking for sponsors. The team associated with this movie included Garish, Anmol, Vishal, tarun, Ishani, Vaneet, Jayshree and Ankush Manhas, besides selected students of JK Public school, who were selected after auditions. |
