| Full dress rehearsal for Republic Day held across Jammu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 24: The full dress rehearsal for Republic Day was held at Maulana Azad Stadium Jammu amid tight security arrangements here today.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Shantmanu, Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar, Director General Youth Services and Sports Naveen Agarwal, IGP Jammu Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Director Information Mukhtar-ul-Aziz, Director School Education R. A. Inqlabi besides senior officers of various departments and Police were also present on the occasion.
The contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, IRP, Auxiliary Police, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K Forest Protection Force NCC cadets, schools and others participated in the march past.
Various school children presented scintillating cultural programmes including traditional folk songs on the occasion. Various Government departments also displayed their tableau's during the rehearsal.
At Ramban, full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Line (DPL) where Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Dr. Tahir Firdos hoisted the National flag and inspected the march past.
School children presented colourful cultural programmes on the occasion.
At Kathua, the function was conducted at District Sports Stadium, Kathua in which Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramaswamy G. unfurled the tricolor and took salute at the march past.

At Reasi, the full dress rehearsal was held at Mini Sports Stadium under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Reasi, Shiv Kumar Gupta. On the occasion, ADC took salute at the march past.
Meanwhile, full dress rehearsal was held at Katra under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Katra Kulbir Singh.
At DODA, the event was organised at District Police Lines Doda under the supervision of Assistant commissioner Revenue Subash chander Dogra and Senior Superintendent of Police M.S Chouhan.
Chouhan inspected the march past contingents and Assistant Commissioner Revenue hoisted the tricolor and took salute of the march past. At RAJOURI, full dress rehearsal was held in District Police Line where Additional Deputy Commissioner Saleem Malik took salute at the march past.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr.Haseeb Mughal, Assistant Commissioner (Rev), ACD, and other civil and police officers were present on the occasion.
At UDHAMPUR, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Vikas Sharma hoisted the National flag and took salute at an impressive march past during full day rehearsal held at Govt. PG Degree College (Boys), here today. At Samba, full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day function was held at Boys Higher Secondary School, Ground Kehli Mandi, Samba.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Samba Inderjeet hoisted the tricolor and took salute at the march past.
At Kishtwar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hanif Malik hoisted the tricolour and took salute at the march past during full dress rehearsal.
Students from various government and private schools presented cultural programme on the occasion.
At Poonch, the event was organised during which Deputy Commissioner M. H. Malik hoisted the tricolour and took salute at the march past.
At Kargil, the full dress rehearsal was held at Sultan Chu sports stadium where Deputy Commissioner and CEC LAHDC, Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh hoisted the tricolour and took salute at the march past. |
