Kathua administration fails to repatriate labourer's family
1/25/2015 12:03:24 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 24: Kathua district administration not paying any attention to repatriate the Gurdaspur based family of a "bonded" labour has disappointed the poor family and has raised questions over its lackadaisical approach.
As per information available with Early Times, Kathua administration is yet to decide over the repatriation of the six members of a laborer's family from Gurdaspur district in Punjab who were freed from the clutches of a brick kiln owner by social groups, Social Organisation for Universal Living (SOUL) and Voice for Rights in Kathua nearly 9-days ago.
President of Voice for Rights, Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat while expressing concern over the working of the district administration said that it was unfortunate that the family which was released from the clutches of a brick kiln owner is yet to reach home.
All attempts of Early Times to contact DC Kathua, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anshul Garg went in vain as no one picked up the phone.
