Despite strong Modi wave in Jammu province, some PDP candidates have successfully managed respectable number of votes which is clear indication that acceptability of PDP is increasing in Hindu majority areas provided party leadership would encouraged credible leaders who are connected with the masses and active at grass-root level. First time during the last three assembly elections a PDP candidate has secured more than 25,000 votes in Jammu province from purely a Hindu dominated constituency.
