Mufti shatters "rejected" Cong's game-plan to enjoy power | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 25: With the confirmation of talks by none less than Mufti Mohammad Sayeed himself is a clear indication that formation of PDP-BJP government in Jammu and Kashmir is imminent. Patron of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Saturday confirmed that "track-II" talks with BJP were going on and these talks would be followed by a structured dialogue in which a group of BJP and PDP leaders would sit together and formulate Common Minimum Programme (CMP). With this admission, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has shattered dreams of Congress leaders who were desperately trying to become party of the government because they don't have habit to live without power. After fractured verdict in assembly elections, Congress party was desperately trying to become part of the government. In the name of secularism, which Congress has been doing throughout the years in rest of the country, leaders of the party made abortive attempt to form a government with PDP with the help of some Independents. With the sole aim of attaining power by at any cost, Congress leaders were repeatedly cautioned PDP leadership against entering into alliance with "communal" BJP. Some Congress leaders even sought intervention of party president Sonia Gandhi to stop BJP from becoming part of the government but of no avail. Credible sources said that desperate to become part of the government Congress leadership had adopted every means to disrespected mandate of the people of Jammu and Kashmir but PDP leadership preferred BJP instead of Congress which has been rejected by the people. Mehbooba Mufti, who was re-elected president of PDP for fifth term, started her address with an indication that her party was going to form alliance with BJP. She made it clear that verdict of 2014 assembly elections is against mis-rule of NC-Congress coalition which had crossed all limits of corruption, loot and nepotism. She that people of Jammu and Kashmir have taught a lesson to both NC and Congress for their misdeeds. Rampant corruption misgovernance and lack of transparency were the trade mark of the NC-Congress government which has been thrown out by the people in the elections. |
