| Baig greets people on 66th Republic Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 25: Muzaffar Hussain Baig, M.P. and Chief Patron Muzaffar Hussain Baig Friends' Club, J&K on the joyous occasion of the 66th Republic Day conveyed his greetings and good wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a meeting with the members of Muzaffar Hussain Baig Friends' Club in Jammu today he emphasised on various values and objectives enshrined in the Constitution like secularism, sovereignty and socialism. He also highlighted various fundamental rights guaranteed to citizens by the Constitution and at the same time reminded people of their responsibilities towards the country which include safeguarding the nation against communal and divisive forces.
He urged upon the youth to come forward and co-operate in taking the State to the new heights of development and prosperity. He said during the last two decades of turbulence the State has suffered immensely in every sector and need of the hour is to work with dedication to bring it at par with other States of the Country.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Jain, Chairman and Spokesperson of the Club stressed on the importance of Republic Day, adding that the Constitution of the country was framed to envisage equality to all its citizens. |
