'After PDP's positive response, Ram Madhav likely to arrive in Kashmir' | | | Early Times Report srinagar, Jan 25: In the backdrop of recent meeting between state leadership with party top brass in New Delhi, the BJP Chief Amit Shah has directed state BJP General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul to hold a meeting with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders over the government formation, has learnt. The development comes day after PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed hinted that they could tie up with the BJP. Sources in the BJP Sunday said that the high command after meeting state BJP leadership in New Delhi on Saturday, asked its senior state leader Ashok Koul to reach to Kashmir and discuss the way forward with PDP on government formation. "On the direction of Party Chief, Koul is arriving in Kashmir from New Delhi on Tuesday and will meet PDP leadership with regard to the government formation," one of the state BJP leaders wishing anonymity said. He added that Koul is also likely to brief the press. However, sources said that the formal announcement about the government formation between the PDP and the BJP will be made only after February 7. "The BJP brass has got a message from the PDP leadership that the certain controversial issues could be set aside. There has been a positive initiative from PDP side. To take this forward, the BJP leadership discussed to hold further discussions on the issues (with PDP). In this regard Koul will reach Kashmir and meet PDP top leaders," they said. |
